Ever have a year fly by, and wonder how it happened so fast? That was this year for Knot By Gran’ma. Looking back at last year’s Year in Review post was a little startling too. I’ve scaled back so many things that just caused stress by overworking. Knot By Gran’ma is in a much better place going into 2018 than I was going into 2017.

Crochet is awesome.
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.” – Neil Gaiman

I missed most of my “goals” from last year’s post, maybe except for the wholesale part. I still have much work to do in that department, but Knot By Gran’ma is in a few stores and looking for more. There’s a system set up, and new items are slowly rolling out for more wholesale opportunities. Cat butts and pug butts get people to spend their cash somehow. Knot By Gran’ma will have all of that covered this year, and be better prepared for the holiday rush.

You’ll be able to find Knot By Gran’ma items on Amazon Handmade in the new year. The shop is being registered and set up, but (fingers and toes crossed) there’s a tentative open date of January 2, 2018.

Here’s a list of things I’d like to accomplish for 2018:

  • Get 50 wholesale accounts
  • Release 5 new crochet patterns
  • Spin more yarn (man, that was the biggest letdown of this year)
  • Work smarter rather than harder… while still working hard of course.
  • Geez Louise… finish updating or removing those old crochet patterns.
  • Try new things.

In the meantime, the non-digital items in my shop are still available for purchase. Nothing will be going out until January 2, 2018. This is usually a good time of year to stock up on crochet patterns anyway. See you in 2018!
