Is there such a thing as a cat butt colorway? (I have a new cat butt colorway. That’s why I was asking.) This is the Dark Rainbow Cat Butt Collection, and it’s freakin’ fabulous. Here’s what you need to know:
I wish I could make these faster. I really do. This is the second in the series of tentacles hanging ornaments that will follow this particular style. It reminds me of Van Gogh’s, “The Starry Night.” I think it’s something about the blue yarn. Regardless, it’s kind of awesome.
There is something so completely satisfying about seeing what seemed like a potentially awesome idea turn into a thing that you can hold in your hands… or in this case, hang in your house. I was talking about this tentacle idea at a birthday party back in January, and it must have been meant to be, because the first of my tentacle ornaments is up for sale in both the retail and wholesale shops.
Hand dyed yarn is back in the shop, and everyone over here is doing a happy dance. Okay, it’s just me dancing. I wanted to jump back into dyeing with a bright colorway, and that’s exactly what happened with this one.
There’s something so very satisfying about listing a bunch of items at once. Here are some new options for the Cat Butt Ornaments and some new handspun yarns. These are great little side project to break up the monotony of
Here is the newest little set of cat butt ornaments. I’ve been having fun playing with the variegated sock yarn with the solid base colors for these butts. You really never know how it’ll turn out until you are finished. It’s the little things for me… The last set listed had ten cat butt ornaments, so a set of three seemed like a good start for those of you still on the fence about cat butts; especially in your brick and mortar shops. It’s time to really get this cat butt wholesale train moving, and I’m hoping that having more choices will be helpful.
I changed my display for this show. The table length was smaller than my usual 8 foot table. It all worked out, and I even got my butt into gear to make some signs and price tags. While I didn’t make as many sales as I had hoped (my price point was definitely too high for this particular crowd. That’s easily adjusted), I would definitely work with the peeps from Poughkidsie again in the future. The staff was friendly and professional.
Today’s shop update is a quickie. I have a few hanks of lovely DK yarn from my Monster Spawn dye sessions. The smaller hanks are single sections of Cheviot, while the larger hank is what happens when you take two of those sections and spin them.
I had expected there to be balloons. And confetti. *Looks around* Yeah, nothing. This is theoretically the official “launch” of Roarsome Yarn. I imagined it to be bigger and maybe with a lion dancing around on top of a giant ball somewhere. THAT would be an impressive launch. I’d probably get eaten though, and that would be the beginning and untimely end of Roarsome Yarn.
