Everywhere you look on the internet, someone is telling you that you have to give things away in order to attract potential buyers. It’s good business. As a good businesswoman, I made sure that I was offering free crochet patterns
Seriously. What are the last few items that you have crocheted for yourself? I used to be really bad at this, but a little motivation to change goes a long way. I crocheted the last Monster Puppet for myself, my upcoming Not a Shawl Shawlette, and the Jackalackackie Hat. I wear the shawlette and hat all the time. Winter soccer practice has been at this creepy (like ax murderer creepy) park, where we have to walk up a giant road to the building with no heat. They have come in handy in keeping me warm.
These puppets may be my all time favorite crochet pattern design that I have ever come up with. Scratch that. They are my all time favorite design. I’ve been quietly designing and testing these patterns for the KBG Patreon page. I wanted to make a really cool crochet pattern for anyone who supports my Knot By Gran’ma crochet pattern designing. These guys fill that goal.
There is so much laughing and funny looks around here. This puppet has been pretty fun to make, and it’s cracking me up. She’s been out on the coffee table for a few weeks now. No matter how many times I see her, it’s still a little unsettling that there’s a head just laying there. She’s waiting for a body… I have to make her a tentacle body like the original puppet, and I think I’ll add a human body too (I’ll figure out how to make them interchangeable). It’s going to be awesome. But for now, she’s just a floating head; hanging out on the coffee table for us to play with.
Holy crap, guys! Look at the awesome crocheting that’s happening over on the KBG Patreon! If you don’t want to wait, click here… Knot By Gran’ma is creating AWESOME crochet patterns, and I’d love your support. This is a long post. Please bear with me.
Have you ever have a project kind of come alive, and take on a life of its own? It’s pretty awesome. I was like oh I’ll just crochet up this quick little doll and it’ll be adorable and that’ll be that. Yeah okay, Jess. This little pig started off as a sheep idea from a crochet prompt. (The prompt was “FLUFFY.”) It’s something new that I started doing last week on my KBG Patreon. The prompts are one of the perks for supporters. They come with a starter pattern to help get the creative juices moving.
