Is there such a thing as a cat butt colorway? (I have a new cat butt colorway. That’s why I was asking.) This is the Dark Rainbow Cat Butt Collection, and it’s freakin’ fabulous. Here’s what you need to know:
So many years ago, I designed this hat. I didn’t have a winter hat at the time and thought this would be awesome. It was totally awesome, aside from my lack of experience writing and designing crochet patterns. The hat was always a little snug, and I’m pretty sure the yardage wasn’t figured out correctly. We were holding 2 different yarns together as one (which I’m a huge fan of), but it seemed like the hat was harder than it had to be in those areas.
These are so awesome. I’ve been stuck for a few days, waiting for my print Grimeclaw crochet patterns to be finished. I figured I should work these hand and finger puppets out in the meanwhile. My other option was a dishcloth crochet pattern, and I just wasn’t feeling it. Probably because dishcloths equal cleaning, and I’m not too excited about cleaning in general. Eyeball monsters won. Did I mention that they were awesome? I love these. I’ve been spending the past week messing around, throwing impromptu lip sync puppet shows to whatever is playing off of my Spotify… in between the designing and computer work. So. Much. Fun!
Visions of Dee Snider and Poison started jumping to mind when I started balling this yarn for the first time. Memories back when MTV played mostly music videos and Beavis and Butthead’s “washing the dog” had me smiling. The yarn brought me back to before high school, back to glam rock, back to the days when I wanted to be a biker chick, and back to when I didn’t really have a care in the world… this yarn is awesome. That’s also probably the sappiest opening paragraph for a blog post that I have ever written.
Today’s the day for the newest Knot By Gran’ma crochet pattern! I proudly present to you the Cat Cave Crochet Pattern! It’s a relatively easy pattern to make and you can choose from 2 different ways to do it.
