Did I ever tell you the story about how Agamemnon came to live at our house? No? Well, shoot. It’s a little weird and maybe heartwarming… and worth putting it out there for your enjoyment. This was the first (and hopefully last) time a crochet project inspired the idea of a new best friend. A super fun project turned a little pug into the love of my kids’ (and ours too) lives. It’s pretty amazing.
It’s Friday again, and for the 3rd week in a row I have brand new items for the shop. I think this is a personal record. Go me for sticking with this new schedule AND being productive with it. I can’t tell you how hard it is for me to not just blow things off. That’s not allowed to happen anymore.
This week I’m sharing some of my little monster ornaments that I’ve been getting together. These little monsters are kind of close to my heart because I dyed and spun the yarn that was used to make them (1 full monster and the head part of the 2nd monster). It’s so neat to see something come together after doing all the preparations to get there. Plus, this is a great way to not waste the practice yarns I’m creating as I gear up for my yarn line… which I can’t release until I get good at this whole spinning thing.
It’s that time of year again when I’m going to be stuck in my house crocheting butts. Every year I say I’ll make them as the year goes on, so I’ll have an inventory and not become swamped. Every year I end up cursing myself that I didn’t follow my plan, as I’m crocheting butts for the orders that are coming in. I’m learning to accept this.
Welcome to the very first Hooked Link Up. In the spirit of building community, I love sharing each other’s work around the web. This is a great way to get a little exposure to your crochet work, while seeing what other crocheters are up to. The link up runs for 5 days (through Friday), so please stop back later in the week to share and see what has been shared.
Vacation is over. I’m sad and happy about that. It was great to get away and do some fishing, along with other touristy things. It would have been better if we had caught some fish (Kiddo did on his last outing.). Hubs says that’s why they call it fishing and not catching. I guess he’s right.
