These Knotty Knucklehead monster dolls are so much fun to make. I can’t get over it. I whipped these 3 knuckleheads up for a craft show, in the hopes that they would sell and this week’s update would be boring. That didn’t happen at all. The monster chapstick holders were a hit though. Go figure.
This latest batch of monster keychain chapstick holders all have rainbow colored irises. There is something about rainbow eyes that make me very happy. My new motto is, “if it makes you happy then you should keep that in your day, and kick the stuff that doesn’t cut it, out forever.” Something like that.
Ever wonder how much you can feasible create in a set amount of time? I was curious to see what I could manage in a 2 week period. Apparently quite a bit of crocheting can be completed. My new dolls are available for you (I added in my original Monster Puppet and Knotty Knucklehead… which were NOT crocheted during this time), and I’ll be seeing if I can recreate the productivity over the next 2 weeks. We’ll see.
I want to talk briefly about how happy this week’s shop update has made me. It figured out a little issue I’d been having, forces me off of my butt (crocheting gets me on my butt, so a balance is good), and allows this quickie attention span of mine to shut it. I worked with wool and Cheviot fibers this week. I’m feeling really amazing with the little rhythm I’ve fallen into.
It’s Friday again, and for the 3rd week in a row I have brand new items for the shop. I think this is a personal record. Go me for sticking with this new schedule AND being productive with it. I can’t tell you how hard it is for me to not just blow things off. That’s not allowed to happen anymore.
Man, these things sold great at this fall’s past Hudson Valley Hullabaloo. They’re relatively quick to make, and they really are the most useful thing I make. They help you not lose your chapstick, and they are Monster Eyeball Chapstick Holder Keychains… it’s a wonderful thing.
