If you use social media to link to an item to your Etsy shop, it’s going to contain the products of your competition unless you add to the link. Let me repeat that. If you use social media to link
Everywhere you look on the internet, someone is telling you that you have to give things away in order to attract potential buyers. It’s good business. As a good businesswoman, I made sure that I was offering free crochet patterns
Knot By Gran’ma entered the Etsy Small Business Contest the other day. I don’t normally enter these kinds of things, but I thought maybe trying things that make me uncomfortable would be good for me. Also, maybe I will win. THAT would be awesome. You can vote here.
Sometimes I just want to sell Knot By Gran’ma, and walk away from it all. Hubs is working 1 day a week, and I just paid myself $1.50 for last week. Surely I could make a better living opening a taco bar… or a brothel; or a taco, brothel bar. It could be called Taco, Taco, Tacos or something. For real. This comes up every year around this time. Everything slows down, and the case of the Pitty Potties comes to visit. I start thinking about selling the thing that makes me happy, because it’s hard and stupid bills… and it’s hard. Holy crap, guys! Look at the awesome crocheting that’s happening over on the KBG Patreon! If you don’t want to wait, click here… Knot By Gran’ma is creating AWESOME crochet patterns, and I’d love your support. This is a long post. Please bear with me.
Their bites leave little holes that show up in every picture, because they strategically figured out how to ruin every picture. This was all very stressful. This was also my reality for a long time. I had an epiphany. They make light boxes that you can buy, in a store, and this should solve the problem of lighting for my little crochet business. Minimal editing and no cursing is the plan.
If you are not sure what Patreon is, click here, otherwise this post won’t make any sense to you… mostly.
I’ve been planning some changes for my newsletter for a little while. I have been playing with some different formats for a while, and I think I’m finally happy where the newsletter has arrived as far as that goes. I send it out weekly with a little blip from me and the new blog posts for the week. I’ve recently started including the most popular posts for the week also at the bottom. That was kind of important to have squared away.
