Crocheting For Yourself Makes You Happy

Crocheting For Yourself Makes You Happy

Seriously. What are the last few items that you have crocheted for yourself? I used to be really bad at this, but a little motivation to change goes a long way. I crocheted the last Monster Puppet for myself, my upcoming Not a Shawl Shawlette, and the Jackalackackie Hat. I wear the shawlette and hat all the time. Winter soccer practice has been at this creepy (like ax murderer creepy) park, where we have to walk up a giant road to the building with no heat. They have come in handy in keeping me warm.

I took Kiddo to the orthodontist yesterday, and brought my knitting with me. I’ve been doing that lately. I do a lot of running around and have been making sure I have some knitting with me. All I wanted to do was finish casting on 92 stitches and use the long tail cast on (because I can finally do it, but mess up the length on the tail every time…). I was hoping to not mess up. (I did.) The waiting room was packed full of kids with braces and their parents. I felt simultaneously awesome and awkward just knitting away.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Don’t worry. I do know when I’ll be back again. (You are most welcome for that ear worm…) I’m psyched. I like trips. I like taking a plane to somewhere warm and just doing the hang. It’s been a bumpy year with school (AGAIN. WHY FOR WASN’T I BLESSED WITH THE HOMESCHOOLING ABILITY!). I was told there was to be no work, but I’ll do some anyway. Besides. Sometimes it rains in Florida.
