Crochet Turtle Magnet

Size US 1 or 2.35 mm crochet hook
Cotton floss – 2 shell colors and 2 light green - 4 skeins total
4 - glass gems
4 - ¾” circle magnets
8 - half-circle shell beads
8 - black seed beads
Craft glue
Makes 4 turtles

Shell: hold 2 darker skeins together to form one thread
* ch 4, ss, 1st st to form a loop, ch 1
* 8sc into loop, ss ch 1, ch 1 – 8sc
* (2sc 1st st, 1 sc nxt st) repeat 2 more times, sc last 2 st, ss ch 1, ch 1 – 11 sc
* sc each st around, color change last st, ss, ch 1, ch 1 - 11sc

Body: hold 2 light green skeins together to form one thread
* ss 1st st, ch 5, turn, 5 sc into 2nd st from hook, sc next 3 st
* (ss next 2 st, ch 3, turn, sc into 2nd st from hook, sc next st) repeat one time - legs
* ss next 2 st, ch 2, turn, sc 2nd st from hook - tail
* (ss next 2 st, ch 3, turn, sc into 2nd st from hook, sc next st) repeat one time - legs
* ss ch 1
fasten off

Finishing:
Glue eyes to head
Glue glass gem round side up into shell – hide loose ends here
Glue magnet to bottom of glass gem
