I have the pleasure of introducing you to Shannon Chomanczuk from Emily and Eden. Shannon is a local artist and is making some beautiful jewelry in her little corner of The Hudson Valley.
I want to introduce you to Vanessa Chan of The Pudgy Rabbit. Vanessa is a fellow crochet pattern designer and maker of amazingly adorable critters. I happened to get to know Vanessa through Hudson Valley Etsy. She’s doing wonderful things. Here we go!
Yes. Interviews are back. I miss learning about people (I like to whine about how I’m missing the whole community aspect when I bring something like this back.) and their craft. I like seeing what other creatives are doing. I’m a little nosy, but not stalker nosy. It’s good to pull your head out of your work once in a while to see what other people are doing. Creating is wonderful but so is taking in creativity. Let’s start with learning about me. I’ll be interviewing myself today. It’s only fair.
Nicole Johnson, of Mealy Monster Land, is someone that I’ve known through the amazingness of the internet for years now. She creates monstrous sculptures and art dolls. We even collaborated on this doll together via snail mail back in the days of Art Dolls Only. I had the pleasure of interviewing her and getting to know her even more.
Today I’m getting to know Kim Sofia a little better… A crochet lady after my own heart, but who is able to handle her monster movies and scary stuff. I just like the monsters, but cannot for the life of me handle anything slightly frightening. I hide under the covers and freak out. It’s nice to be able to follow along from a safe distance through Kim’s work.
Well hello there Knot by Gran’ma readers! I’m Jenn from Squishy Cheeks & Cupcakes and I’m so excited to be here sharing a bit about me and my passion for creating.
