Since my last post about tentacles, I’ve had a lot of time to figure out how I wanted to continue to use them in my crochet work. Fortunately (and unfortunately) I’ve had A TON of downtime while recovering from my surgery.
I work almost exclusively in single crochet. I make dolls, and that’s the stitching that makes sense to use. Sometimes it gets really boring, and I end up looking for little ways to add texture to my work without sacrificing
Last fall I was playing around with easy to make hand puppets. I was looking for a design that was quick to make and fun to play with. Half of my wish came true. The puppets were so fun to play with… still took forever. The cost effectiveness of my new puppets was silly and after figuring out a cute one-eyed version, I wanted to elaborate on the design and get a crochet pattern out.
I finally ran out of business cards, and it’s like my birthday and Christmas all rolled up into one. I’ve been itching to change up my business cards for a while now, but budgeting reasons made sure that I finished the ones I had first. I wanted to make sure that this batch could double as cards for the business and also for packaging for my cat butts and other smaller items… working smarter and not harder here.
